Oversees the establishment and effective functioning of Council committees to ensure accountability and compliance.
Promotes public participation, oversees ward committees, and ensures communities are involved in municipal decision-making.
Ensures councillors comply with the Code of Conduct and manages disciplinary processes where necessary.
Ensures Council resolutions are properly recorded, communicated, and supported to enable effective oversight.
Represents Council in engagements with stakeholders and promotes cooperation with other spheres of government.
Facilitates training and development programmes to enhance councillors’ knowledge, skills, and effectiveness.
